ABOUT ALISON MITCHELL
Alison Mitchell graduated from The Florida State University in 2000 with her BS in Political Science. She then graduated in 2002 with her JD from The Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, Alison worked with the Children’s Advocacy Center and began her career as a defense attorney defending juvenile cases. From there, Alison gained further criminal law experience by prosecuting cases with the State Attorney’s Office, 10th Judicial Circuit, in Polk County. Ms. Mitchell prosecuted hundreds of cases, from simple misdemeanors to violent crimes, high-quantity drug cases, sexual offenses, and economic fraud.
After working as a Prosecutor, Ms. Mitchell left the State and returned to defense work, where she has remained. She worked with a firm, quickly becoming a named partner, and then opened her own firm in 2009. Ms. Mitchell built her practice and has defended thousands of criminal matters, all while maintaining her philosophy of making sure each client is handled personally and faithfully throughout every step of the process. In 2019 Alison partnered with her longtime friend and mentor, Lisa McLean, and they together launched McLean Mitchell LLC. Both attorneys remain committed to excellence, professionalism, personal relationships, and defending their clients #nomatterwhat.
