About Alison P. Mitchell
Alison P. Mitchell has practiced criminal law in Florida for more than two decades, bringing experience from both sides of the courtroom to every case she handles. She began her legal career defending juveniles before serving as a prosecutor with the State Attorney’s Office for Florida’s 10th Judicial Circuit, where she handled cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felony offenses.
In 2009, Alison returned to criminal defense and founded her practice. Since then, she has represented thousands of clients facing criminal charges throughout Florida. Her background as both a prosecutor and defense attorney gives her valuable insight into how criminal cases are investigated, charged, negotiated, and tried.
Alison’s practice is built around thorough preparation, personal attention, and aggressive courtroom advocacy. She understands that a criminal charge can affect a client’s freedom, career, family, and future. Every case is approached individually, with careful examination of the evidence, identification of potential weaknesses in the prosecution’s case, and development of a defense strategy tailored to the circumstances.
From DUI, drug and firearm charges to violent felonies, probation violations, and juvenile matters, Alison represents clients at every stage of the criminal process. Whether negotiating with prosecutors or preparing a case for trial, her focus remains on protecting her clients’ rights and pursuing the strongest available outcome under the circumstances.
